I've ridden Houston's - Rio Bravo motorcross many time in the recent months. I've found the shaded trees and perfect dirt makes for a fantastic day trip, even in this heat. I can't express enough how well this old nationals calaber track has made a come back in the last couple years. I'm defiantly jellious of those TRH and Houston riders. I learned first hand that this nice flowing, fast, fun, safe, track and facilities (swimming pool) is worth a day trip. I'm going back, likely several times in August.
Here's some blasts from the past Google photos and Old School MX at Rio Bravo discussions. Start making your plans now for the Rio Bravo Old Scool Renunion.

A few of us dirt bikers have gone to the streets (because we can't get enough riding) myself included. If you're interested, you're in luck, I'll share some personal reports and website for your entertainment. Here's our up and coming Annual Big Bend trip website sponsored by TeamScream motorcycles. This year a few other AMSAers went southwest, way south-west (Big Bend, Tx) ahead of our annual motley-crew and they graciously shared their trip report.
Have you heard about Austin's Forumla-1 race track under construction near Del Valley/Red Rock? Circuit of the Americas will host a motorcycle GP in 2013 in addition to a Formula 1 race in 2012. You can count me in, I just hope I can qualify on my police bike BMW because I know my KTM won't reach those top speeds, wait neither will my BMW, fudge... LOL! Check out this AUTOWEEK TV video: MotoGP signs on to run at new Austin racetrack (04/13/11).

AMSA Web Cards are here! I'm jones-ing to add your photos so send them to me, no excuses now.
I'm always adding new Blog entries so RSS Subscribe or check for updates often. You know I'm beginning to believe AMSA may have the largest collection of on-line Moto-Games on the Web (prove me wrong). So be sure to share this news with the kido's.
I invite you to check out the "AMSA 411 Blog" as well as the old Blog for some additional great information.
AMSA Alert Subscription - You are encouraged to use the News Alert subscription form on this page (left side menu) to subscribe. AMSA News Alerts will be sent to subscribed members occasionally before special AMSA club activities (eg. like Family Day's). This service is intended to help remind members of AMSA club activities via e-mail. AMSA will not abuse this Mail List. AMSA will keep posting to a minimum and to the point. E-mail address's will be kept confidential and will not be sold or spammed. If you have not received a E-mail welcoming you to the AMSA Alert Mail List you are encouraged to use the subscription form to sign up.
AMSA Birthdays -- The AMSA Birthdays listing (to the left below) is alive. This feature allows members to add and display their Birth-date monthly.
I've notice a few Birthday shout-outs on the forums and thought this may be a welcome feature, I hope you agree and will add yours to the growing listing. You will have to Enter Your Birthday in order for it to be listed on AMSA Home page so that it will appear the month of your birth-date. I hope you use and enjoy the E-Cards links I've collected to surprise others with friendly goodwill wishes. As time permits, I hope to improve this feature so that Birthday messages are sent from AMSA automatically. FYI, there is a surprise resource link after you submit your birth-date you should check out. This resource is pretty cool. Here it is again (The Creative Anniversary Calculator and what happened in my birth year.com) if you missed them when you submitted your birth-date. You can discover interesting info about your birth-date you wouldn't have otherwise known.
Support your local motorcycle shops that support your sport.
Visit the Sponsors Web sites and please mention gratitude from AMSA for there support.
Last but not least... please remember to give gratitude to the AMSA Officers who volunteers and help stitch this club into the community that it is.
Give these members a pat on the back and a cold one someday and let them know you appreciate the hard work they put in to your club.

Please visit the AMSA and other discussion forums to ask questions. Fellow officers and members can answer most questions.
Ride safe and enjoy!
Changing ways... We're doing away with Pictures of the Month. Now we're simply randomly loading a photo each time this page is loaded.
If you are a AMSA member and would like your photo to randomly display here please send me your photo. Due to the layout there are a few necessary requirements that should be met. First the image should be between 500 and 700 pixels wide. The height is less important but optimum height is 378 pixels tall.
E-mail you photo's to macdillon@sbcglobal.net for inclusion in AMSA's random photo display (e.g. photo at the top of this page).
